CSX Honors “Video Ray” for Rail Security Training

CSX presented an Award of Excellence to PRC Digital Media Tuesday night at the annual Public Safety, Health, and Environment Conference at the Westin Resort in Savannah, Georgia. The Infrastructure Protection Department honored PRC President Ray Hays for the company’s production of Rail Security Awareness Training. The video instructs CSX employees about recognizing and reporting threats of terrorist acts, workplace and domestic violence. The award also cited Hays’ consistent dedication to helping CSX achieve training goals in safety and environmental compliance.

“Our training has won national and international awards over the years.” said CSX’s Mike Lunsford, Director of Environmental Field Services “We know we can count on him. That’s why we call him ‘Video Ray’”.

John Walsh, Director of Infrastructure Protection for the railroad said, “Ray’s work is consistently superior and just does such a great job of getting the message across quickly and effectively.”

The award was one of five departmental awards presented at the annual event. Other awards went to companies specializing in environmental compliance, and hazardous materials handling. This is the first year an award was given for video production.

“I’ve always been proud of the work we do for CSX.” Said Hays. “For more than two decades, I’ve been privileged to work with them as they have become the industry leaders in environmental protection.”

PRC Digital Media is a Jacksonville company producing video, training, commercials and documentaries. Located in studios on Park Street, PRC has served clients since 1988. CSX operates over 21,000 miles of track in 23 states. In 2015, the railroad was honored by the American Association of Railroads with all three of the industry’s major environmental awards. It was the first time the AAR had given all three awards to one railroad.
